Pasta de Ajo Chilote con Merken (Merquen).
This Garlic Puree has an intense, spicy flavor. It is imbued with smoked "Merken" chilli found only in Chile and which has been used by the Mapuche Indians of southern Chile for centuries.
The garlic puree originates from Chiloe, a green and fertile island at the gateway to Patagonia in the south Pacific, famous for its folk legends and beautiful scenery. It is made using the Chilote garlic, the southernmost garlic in the world, which is larger than normal garlic but without the overpowering flavor.
It is ideal for a wide range of hot and cold dishes and will be sure to add a spicy garlic flavor.
